Michelin consolidates its position as European leader in online restaurant booking with the acquisition of Restaurantes.com

Michelin today announces the acquisition of Restaurantes.com, leader in Spain in the online restaurant booking market with more than 5,000 establishments equipped with its solutions and more than 700,000 covers booked in 2015.

Michelin also acquired Bookatable in January 2016, which enabled it to accelerate its development in online restaurant booking market by increasing its presence in many European countries and accelerating the development of its technology platform.

With the acquisition of this Spanish company headquartered in Madrid, Michelin is expanding its offer into a new high potential market. Spanish customers will benefit from Michelin's expertise through a comprehensive and high quality range of services.

The acquisition of Restaurantes.com is in line with the desire of Michelin, a mobility player since its creation, to offer all its customers a unique mobility experience through products and services with very high added value, and to accompany restaurateurs in the development of their business by proposing new solutions.
