Vivial Celebrates Small Businesses Working to Create Positive Change in Oahu With #SmallBizBigOutcome

Annual campaign recognizes businesses, residents and organizations doing their part for the local community and spreads awareness about proper disposal of outdated phone directories

OAHU, Hawaii, Jan. 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vivial, a leading advertising technology (ad tech) company and proud publisher of the Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages, launched its annual campaign, #SmallBizBigOutcome, which celebrates small businesses that are doing their part to make a difference in the local community. Vivial launched SmallBizBigOutcome.com, an online hub dedicated to spotlighting Oahu businesses, residents and organizations working to create positive change.

Oahu Infographic

Residents and businesses in Oahu are currently receiving the new 2017 telephone directory, which features advertising representing local businesses throughout Oahu. Vivial encourages the Oahu community to dispose of their outdated directories – residents in their gray refuse carts and businesses in their trash containers – now that the new directories have been delivered.

Vivial, in collaboration with the City and County of Honolulu, has created an Infographic, a visual explanation designed to educate the Oahu community about proper disposal of outdated phone books on the island. Outdated directories are processed locally at a waste-to-energy facility where they are used to generate a valuable source of renewable energy for Oahu. They are never wasted and never end up in landfills.

The Oahu Infographic is available at SmallBizBigOutcome.com/Oahu and Vivial suggests businesses and residents share the link through their online channels to help spread the word about the difference proper disposal of phone books can make in protecting the environment and powering the island.

“Vivial loves small businesses and is proud to champion other businesses who are helping to create positive change through #SmallBizBigOutcome,” said Laura Cole, Vice President, Marketing, Vivial. “We’re committed to spreading the word about proper disposal of outdated phone directories in Oahu, which helps to power the island and protect the environment.”
