CLEARWATER, Fla., Jan. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On January 21st, the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization will host a gathering of members from the religious community at the Church’s Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater. Rev. Pat Harney, the Public Relations Director for the Church will officiate at the gathering where guests will discuss social challenges facing the Tampa Bay area.

"We may be entering a new year, but we are certainly dealing with old challenges. This event is an opportunity for us to review what is happening around us, and how we, as a faith based community, will combine our forces to help straighten out areas that have drifted too far off the track," Rev. Harney said.
After brunch, attendees from dozens of area churches will break up into panels to address drug abuse, crime, failing schools, homelessness and human rights violations. Each panel will be facilitated by an activist or expert in the field.
The panelists will be asked to report on a suggested resolution to each specific topic which will be shared with all of the guests towards the end of the event. Anyone interested in one or more of these areas is invited to share with the diverse guests in brunch and dialogue. There is no charge for the event. Please contact Rev.
