RSA Security Conference: ISARA Launches Security Solution Suite to Prepare Businesses and Governments for Emerging Quantum Computing Threats

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- At the RSA conference today, ISARA Corporation launched the first complete security solution on the market providing developers with a toolkit of quantum-resistant algorithms and complementary integration tools. The ISARA Radiate Security Solution Suite gives organizations the ability to integrate critical, quantum-safe security measures into conventional computers, commercial products and networks today to prevent quantum attack. ISARA Radiate facilitates the highest levels of next generation security for governments and businesses.

The massive processing power of quantum computers, expected to come to market in 10 years or less, is such that all security that depends on existing public-key based standards is vulnerable. While quantum technologies will introduce powerful new opportunities in everything from cancer research to climate modeling, the dark side is that it will subvert widely used classical public-key cryptography. ISARA Radiate’s quantum resistant cryptographic algorithms can be used to replace or augment the existing security in commercial solutions to protect conventional computers against quantum attack.

“Many companies around the world have identified emerging cybersecurity threats as their number one concern. Preparing for long-term privacy and security protections, especially as quantum solutions hit the market, is urgent,” said Scott Totzke, CEO of ISARA Corp.  “ISARA set out to build simple to use solutions that allow easy integration of quantum resistant algorithms into commercial products today.”

Key Features:

  • Ability to deploy a quantum resistant version of OpenSSL to simplify development options and accelerate integration into existing or new products.
  • Practical tools to ease deployment of the quantum resistant LMS (Leighton-Micali Signature) scheme designed to work with existing Internet protocols.
  • Expanded platform support to include Microsoft Windows, including integration into Windows Cryptography API: Next Generation (CNG).

“OpenSSL is one of the most successful open source projects that is widely used to ensure secure communications exist between devices. Having the ISARA cybersecurity library compatible with OpenSSL makes it even easier to migrate,” said Totzke.  “For the end user, the migration is 100% transparent.  You would never know that the latest version of your banking app had moved to quantum-safe cryptography unless it was advertised as a benefit.”
