Ormat Technologies Announces 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders


RENO, Nev., March 01, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ormat Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:ORA) is pleased to announce that its 2017 annual meeting of stockholders will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. EDT at the offices of Chadbourne & Parke LLP, 1301 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10019-6022. Stockholders of record on the close of business on March 16, 2017 will be entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the meeting.

The Company will follow the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's rules that allow companies to furnish proxy materials to their stockholders using the Internet. These rules permit us to provide our stockholders with the information they need, while lowering the costs of delivery and reducing the environmental impact of our annual meeting. Accordingly, a Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials, including details of the annual meeting, how to access the proxy materials and how to vote at the meeting, will be mailed to stockholders of record as of the record date. Only stockholders of record at the close of business on the record date will be entitled to vote at the meeting.
