TV Azteca Announces Cancellation of US$42.5 Million of Its US$300 Million Senior Notes Due in 2018

The operation reflects solid financial results and further strengthens the capital structure of TV Azteca


MEXICO CITY, March 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TV Azteca, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV:AZTECA CPO) (Latibex:XTZA), one of the two largest producers of Spanish-language television programming in the world, announced today the cancellation of US$42.5 million of its US$300 million senior notes with coupon of 7.5% due in 2018 that the company repurchased previously with cash generated from the operation.

The transaction reflects the solid financial performance in TV Azteca, and the firm commitment of the company to reduce the full amount of dollar-denominated debt to strengthen its capital structure.
