ExploreLearning Gizmos wins 2017 REVERE Award

DALLAS, March 28, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ExploreLearning®, a member of Cambium Learning® Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABCD), announced that Gizmos® was recognized as the best supplemental resource for science by the Association of American Publishers (AAP)'s 2017 REVERE Awards for education innovation. Gizmos and ExploreLearning Reflex® were also finalists in the supplemental math resource category.

ExploreLearning Gizmos is the world’s largest library of interactive online simulations for math and science education in grades 3–12. The program helps students develop a deep understanding of challenging concepts through inquiry and exploration. Educators across North America use Gizmos to bring research-proven, standards-aligned instructional strategies to the classroom.

Gizmos were updated to HTML5 in 2016, making the simulations available on most devices, including Chromebooks, iPads and Android tablets. More recently, ExploreLearning added many new Gizmos on topics including Solving Algebraic Equations, Big Bang Theory, Chemical Reactions, Carbon Cycle, Weathering, and Melting Points.

The annual REVERE Awards recognize exemplary learning resources for PreK–12 students, educators, and administrators, as well as adult learners. Each entry was rigorously evaluated with feedback from both professional educators and product developers.

“We’re honored to have Gizmos and Reflex recognized once again by the REVERE Awards as top learning resources,” said David Shuster, Ph.D., founder and president of ExploreLearning. “We continue to expand our Gizmos library to help educators bring even more opportunities for rich inquiry and exploration to their classrooms to support student success with rigorous new academic standards. We’re happy to have those efforts recognized by AAP.”
