Local Veterans Host Private Screening of New Streaming TV Network

VET Tv uses humor to help veterans heal in Austin, TX, April 28-29, 2017

AUSTIN, Texas, April 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VET Tv creates targeted and therapeutic entertainment for the veteran community, in order to promote camaraderie and prevent veteran suicide. Veterans use humor to cope with pain and tragedy. By laughing at some of those experiences, veterans can acknowledge the things that eat them up inside, which is the first step in the healing process.

April 28-29, 2017, VET Tv will be conducting a private screening of their content at the VFW Post 8787.  Each night will showcase different episodes. Over 300 current and past service members will attend the private screening and live taping. This event is not just a chance to watch a television show but a chance to strengthen the camaraderie among veterans. Ticket sales will directly fund production costs of the live-tapings.

VET Tv, a streaming TV network, officially launches June 28, 2017. It was founded in the Fall of 2016 with a crowdfunding campaign that raised $296,331 from the support of 3,609 backers, the third highest comedy project in Kickstarter history. http://www.veterantv.net/
