“LSC Shipmanagement” adds to the fleet its biggest tanker – “Elandra Eagle”


On Friday, May 19, in South Korea, the JSC “Latvian Shipping Company” subsidiary “LSC Shipmanagement” Ltd (LSCSM) supplemented the fleet under its full technical management with a newbuilding “Elandra Eagle”. The new tanker is intended for transportation of oil. Her total length is 277 meters and deadweight – 157,000 tons.

Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Latvian Shipping Company” Robert Kirkups says: “LSCSM adds the next ship to the fleet under its technical management to raise its maximum petroleum transportation capacity. We are delighted about the trust shown towards the professionalism and skills of our crews and ship management team. The addition to the fleet is an important event, fulfilling the strategy of increasing vessels under technical management and thereby allowing the company to increase its number of workplaces both ashore and onboard.”

Tanker “Elandra Eagle” was built by a ship building company in South Korea called “Sungdong Shipbuilding LTD”. In June “LSC Shipmanagement” will add to its fleet tanker “Elandra Falcon”.
