Boston Consulting Group, Cambridge Group Named 2017 Top Consulting Firm by Ivy Exec

Ivy Exec Releases its Annual List of the Top Large and Boutique Consulting Firms to Work For

New York, NY, April 26, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Which consulting firm should you be working for this year? Ivy Exec (www.ivyexec.com), a curated community of the world’s most successful professionals, surveyed thousands of consultants to find out. The 2017 Top Consulting Firms to Work For ranking is divided into two categories: Boutique and Large firms.

“With such a significant representation of Consultants in our Ivy Exec membership combined with the large number of consulting firms that we advise in a recruitment, employment branding, and market research capacity, it was very exciting for us to launch our 3rd annual Consulting Rankings this year. The competitive list marries the insights of employees with a market index.  The boutique list is thrilling to see this year because it truly reveals companies that are rapidly growing and are innovative and disruptive in their area of focus.  We are incredibly proud to present these companies that made the final cut in 2017.” - Sara Farkas, Director of Strategic Development at Ivy Exec

In total, 35 companies are ranked among the Boutique and Large categories. To view the complete list of 2017 Top Consulting Firms to Work For, plus company profiles and employee reviews for each company, visit here.

  1. Cambridge Group
  2. Clearview Healthcare Partners
  3. Globalization Partners
  4. Illume Advising
  5. Acquis Consulting Group

Large Consulting Firms to Work For ranking is led by:

  1. The Boston Consulting Group
  2. Bain & Company
  3. A.T. Kearney
  4. McKinsey & Company
  5. Roland Berger

To compile the list, Ivy Exec surveyed current and former employees of over 300 global consulting firms. We narrowed down our list of nominated companies then asked participants to identify the top firms to work for within the industry in the coming year. Firms were divided into two groups according to the number of employees, with firms employing approximately 1,000 consultants or less classified as boutiques.

Each of these firms was then scored according to: the number of votes it received, a proprietary Market Index formula developed by the Ivy Exec’s Research Team, and a “grade” based on insights collected from current and former company reviews. For these company reviews, employees rate companies across five factors: Work, Culture, Money, Leadership, and Prestige.

Other top-ranked Consulting Firms include: Mercer, CBPartners, Keystone Strategy, Censeo Consulting Group, and Decision Resources Group.

As well as rating the companies, professionals included personal reviews on the five aforementioned metrics. For example, one Boston Consulting Group employee weighed in, “Experienced and insightful consultants, total commitment, tons of know-how, and a strong international network. Most of BCG's clients are not one-time relationships. They come back again, which proves that BCG creates and delivers value to the client.”

Ivy Exec has posted employee feedback on each firm’s Company Profile page, which can be found by clicking on a company’s name on the ranking list.
