Nyrstar: Results of the Extraordinary and Special General Shareholders' Meetings held on 18 May 2017

Nyrstar NV (the "Company") held an extraordinary general shareholders' meeting as well as a special general shareholders' meeting in Brussels today.

The items on the agenda of the extraordinary general shareholders' meeting with respect to (a) the absorption of losses through a decrease of available reserves and issue premiums, (b) the granting of powers to the Board of Directors under the authorised capital, and (c) the renewal of the powers of the Board of Directors to purchase own shares, were approved.

The sole item on the agenda of the special general shareholders' meeting with respect to the approval in accordance with Article 556 of the Belgian Companies Code in connection with the silver prepayment arrangement entered into on 30 March 2017 between Nyrstar Sales & Marketing AG (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company) and Goldman Sachs International, was also approved.

No attendance quorum applied to today's meetings.
