Fingerprints' touch sensor FPC1145 featured in Huawei's new PC Matebook E
Previously, world leading biometrics company Fingerprint Cards (Fingerprints) announced that its entire portfolio of touch sensors is available for PC. Fingerprints' touch sensor FPC1145 has now been featured in Huawei's new PC, Matebook E.
Fingerprints' new PC offering enables superior biometric performance in Huawei's new tablet offering. The Huawei Matebook E has Fingerprints' touch sensor FPC1145 integrated in it, and was launched earlier today.
"The threat of identity compromise and theft of personal information are becoming an increasing concern for PC users, especially as the boundaries between professional and personal use continues to blend. The Huawei Matebook E enlists our new PC offering to secure the biometric data in transit and storage, allowing users to use their fingerprints without concern", says Niklas Strid, SVP, Head of Business Line PC and Embedded at Fingerprint Cards.
The Huawei Matebook E with FPC1145 utilizes Intel's Security Guard Extention enclave in their latest CPU, in combination with market-leading AES encryption to secure the biometric data-both in communication channels and storage. Fingerprints' advanced algorithm allows the ultra-thin FPC1145 at a height as small as 3.5mm to achieve full Windows 10 Hello biometric performance including FPC SafeTouch® spoof resistance.

Security demands for sensors within the PC segments are very high. Fingerprints' PC offering is currently available for customer sampling and design implementation for all of its industry-leading sensors, including the touch sensor FPC1268, which can be mounted under glass.
