SEATTLE, May 31, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NanoString Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:NSTG), a provider of life science tools for translational research and molecular diagnostic products, today announced an agreement to sell 2,750,000 shares of its common stock to Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated as the underwriter in an underwritten public offering pursuant to NanoString’s existing shelf registration statement. NanoString has also granted the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 412,500 shares of common stock. NanoString intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes and working capital.
Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated is serving as sole underwriter for the offering.
A shelf registration statement on Form S-3 relating to the common stock offered in the public offering described above was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 29, 2014 and declared effective by the SEC on September 10, 2014.
