Political protest by Neste's personnel groups threatens to interrupt fuel distribution at Naantali and Porvoo terminals in Finland

Neste's personnel groups announced on Tuesday (June 20th) that they plan to arrange a political protest against government's ownership policy in Finland lead by Prime Minister Juha Sipilä. Representatives of employee groups have said they will discontinue Neste's fuel distribution at Porvoo and Naantali terminals between June 26th (starting at 7 am) and July 2nd (ending at 7 pm). The protest does not affect production at Neste's facilities in Porvoo and Naantali at this stage. The company currently assesses the potential effects of the protest on fuel distribution to customers.

"Neste focuses on its own business operations and does not comment on its owners' decision-making. Our primary goal is to minimize the effects that this protest may have on our customers and our business. Our top management is engaging in a dialogue with the personnel groups," says Panu Kopra, Executive Vice President of Marketing & Services at Neste.

Neste will issue more information about the situation when the company has more detailed information on the effects.
