Neste's mobile app is the first in Finland to have bank-independent credit and debit payment options for refuelling

Neste app, the mobile application launched by Neste, is now the first application in Finland that also allows refuelling using Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards irrespective of the user's bank.

"We launched mobile payment for consumers in early April and have now expanded the payment options of the application to cover all popular debit and credit cards. We want to make our customers' lives easier and offer as diverse services and payment methods as possible. The credit and debit function allows the customers to decide on the payment method that best suits them - also using a mobile application and irrespective of their bank," says Mika Hyötyläinen, Vice President of Marketing for Marketing & Services at Neste.

"Our customers appreciate the swiftness, safety and ease of the transaction. The Neste app makes refuelling faster and safer, as no separate cards or cash are needed any longer for payment. All you need to do is to pull over to a station and unlock the pump you want with the app," Hyötyläinen continues.

K-Plussa points for mobile refuelling at Neste stations

An existing K-Plussa card can also be linked to the mobile application. It provides K-Plussa points for fuel purchases in all Neste stations for light vehicles in Finland, with the exception of Neste Express automatic stations.

The confirmation code defined by the user is used for paying, and the service can be easily closed if the phone is lost. Mobile payments for fuel will be recorded in the payment log of the Neste application. In addition to the payment option, the application helps customers locate the nearest Neste stations and navigate to them. The Neste application also offers deals customers can take advantage of at Neste stations all around Finland.

Mobile refuelling now possible at more than 300 Neste stations

Currently, mobile payments are accepted at over 300 Neste Express, Neste K and self-service Neste stations. The stations can be easily found using the Neste app which can be used free of charge. Credit and debit cards can be conveniently added by entering the card details in the updated Neste app. The application requires a network connection and can be used with the following operating systems:
