Beverly Hills, CA, June 29, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hologram USA Networks Inc. today released JP Vance’s song “This is America” and its stirring video. The song, written and performed by the 15 year-old international pop phenomenon, seeks to address the massive divides in America in the era of Donald Trump. It takes the controversial stance that we should remain united by love of country despite the divisive forces among us. Ray J is featured on the track.

Vance was born in Portland, Oregon  and grew up in Beijing, China. At age 5 he was discovered by the Motown star Bobby Taylor (“Does Your Mama Know About Me”) who was key in mentoring the Jackson 5. Taylor recorded two albums with Vance and produced Vance’s “Girl in Beijing,” which drove a huge business in appearances and merchandise there, when he was just 12 years old.  His social following on Weibo--China’s equivalent to Twitter--has reached 3 million and he has been the subject of cover stories on major Chinese entertainment magazines.

Fluent in both English and Chinese, and identifying as Korean-American, Vance’s particular circumstances had him thinking about the cultural and political advantages the United States offers from an early age. Upon arriving back in America, he felt a flood of emotion for his birth country and its love for him. He was compelled to write “This is America” and found, in Hologram USA CEO Alki David, the right partner to bring it to life.
