ManTech ensures certified material solutions for Marine Corp Systems Command

HERNDON, Va., July 18, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Systems Engineering, Interoperability, Architecture and Technology (SIAT), U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command has awarded ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) a 5-year $21 million task order for systems engineering, interoperability, architecture, and technology support on the DoD Information Analysis Center’s (DoD IAC) Defense Systems Technical Area Task (DSTAT) Multi-Award Contract (MAC).

Under the new agreement, ManTech will help SIAT enhance integration and interoperability across USMC, naval, joint, and Department of Defense systems programs. ManTech will also provide detailed systems engineering analysis, establish technical policies and guidance across the Command, and manage technical investigation and planning for the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).

The DoD IAC serves as a bridge between the warfighter and the acquisition community, offering an enhanced research base of Scientific and Technical Information (STI) and flexible MACs that yield new STI for reuse within DoD daily.

“ManTech is extremely pleased to contribute to an improved warfighter experience by delivering proven engineering and technical capability supporting the Marine Corps’ mission,” said Daniel J. Keefe, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s Mission Solutions & Services Group. “ManTech is proud to hold a prime contract on the DSTAT, and to be part of the IAC’s mission to help provide innovative analysis and enhance the DoD’s science and technical base.”

Headquartered in Quantico, Va., SIAT is the lead technical authority for all Marine Corps ground weapons and information technology systems programs, and ensures USMC systems interoperability with coalition and joint forces. MAGTF provides systems for tactical communications, networking and satellite communications, command and control, integration and interoperability and situational awareness.
