Epoch Lacrosse Partners with Adelphi University Men's Lacrosse Team

High-performance lacrosse equipment company owned by Adelphi University alumnus and former men's lacrosse player to provide gear for first NCAA team

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwired - Aug 29, 2017) - Epoch Lacrosse, a U.S. design and technology company that specializes in lacrosse, proudly announces its partnership with Adelphi University's NCAA Men's Lacrosse team. The team deal will include Epoch outfitting the student athletes for the upcoming 2018 lacrosse season starting this fall.

"As an Adelphi University alumnus, it is an honor to outfit the school that gave me my start in the lacrosse industry," said James Miceli, principal and founder of Epoch Lacrosse. "Adelphi has a prestigious lacrosse team that I was once a part of, so it is fitting Epoch Lacrosse outfit these dedicated players."

During this partnership, Epoch Lacrosse will provide Adelphi University players with its latest gear, including its newest Dragonfly shaft, its Integra protective line and even custom gear. Epoch has worked to understand the dynamics and forces present in the game of lacrosse, which has resulted in the creation of durable, reliable and high-performing products.

Epoch Lacrosse's Integra Protective Line was created to maximize a player's feel, design and control during a lacrosse game. The line includes gloves, arm and shoulder pads, and incorporates revolutionary features including Phase Change Technology, Tri-Layer Dual Density Foam Stack and flexible carbon fiber for lightweight, but effective protection.

Joe Vitale, Epoch Lacrosse's regional sales representative, is another Adelphi alumnus who worked with the team throughout the sales process to understand the needs and wants of the Adelphi University Men's Lacrosse team. Vitale played for the Panthers from 2009-2012 and is continuing to support Adelphi University throughout the length of the agreement.

"It is an honor to have an Adelphi alumnus such as James as a partner," said Gordon Purdie, the head lacrosse coach at Adelphi University. "We are looking forward to this partnership as Epoch Lacrosse provides the latest and most technologically-advanced gear for this incredibly hard-working team."

The Adelphi men's lacrosse program just recently celebrated 70 years of existence in which the Panthers have won seven NCAA Division II National Championships and made 23 NCAA tournament appearances (four in Division I). Adelphi has made it to the national championship game 11 times and currently holds the team championship record. Under Coach Purdie, the Brown and Gold have made it to the tournament in four of the last five years, including the national semifinals in 2017.
