The night was an extraordinary experience, as guests and VIPs entered the United Nations headquarters in New York City, and entered the Trusteeship Conference Room, where 1800pr, and its audio and visual team, turned the room into a 3D world under the ocean with special 3D viewing glasses for the entire audience. The room was transformed into an underwater experience of visual wonder as some of the most interesting sea creatures came to life in 3D. Daniel Thomas, Director of Communications & Spokesperson for the President of the UN General Assembly, co-hosted the event with sports and entertainment TV personality Pat O’Brien with guests; Co-Star Fabian Cousteau (son of Jean-Michel Cousteau), Co-Director Jean-Jacque Mantello and his brother and Producer, François Mantello, who also took to the podium and addressed the crowd.

Matthew Bird, CEO of 1-800-PublicRelations (1800pr), commented. “1800pr has been working with the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) initiatives for over two years, providing a way for public and private partnerships to develop sustainable social impact communications strategies that inspire social change while lifting the visibility of the UN platform. We are fortunate to work with such great and dedicated people at the UN, non-profits, and the supporting NGO partners. Lastly, we would like to thank the “Wonders of the Sea 3D” team for allowing us to be a part of historic event.”

The event had many collaboration partners including ROK Mobile, the first social impact mobile provider launched and co-founded by billionaire John Paul DeJoria and Jonathan Kendrick. Mr. Kendrick and ROK Mobile were honored at the event for incredible support that helped make the event possible.

After the screening, VIPs and guests poured into the reception to enjoy an open bar, food and a special live performance by rising pop artist, Maisy Kay. Maisy Kay sang the film’s theme song, “Heart of the Ocean” , which she wrote after seeing the film.

Wonder of the Sea 3D Director Jean-Jacque Mantello and Producer Francois Mantello commented, “We would like to thank 1800pr who organized and produced this event and allowing us to present our film “Wonders of the Sea 3D” at the United Nations. We know how difficult it is to organize an event inside this prestigious institution, and especially, a 3D projection which had never been done before. The theatre was packed and we had amazing feedback from the hundreds of guests who attended.”

Pat O’Brien, Co-Host of the event and TV personality said, “In all my 35+ years in network television with NBC and CBS, I’ve worked with many PR agencies. 1800pr stands out - not only are they thorough, but they think differently, act differently and find ways to align brands with meaningful social impact initiatives with a purpose, and just get it done. What a team!”

Daniel Thomas, United Nations PGA Director of Communications and spokesperson commented at the event, “It was an incredible event and the first of its kind at the United Nations.”

In 2015 1800pr made a pledge to support the UN SDGs with media, communications and strategic advisory services to help better-the-world through strategic public-private partnerships programs by becoming and advocate and evangelist for the SDG goals and its message of social change.
