Santa FE, NM, Oct. 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Santa Fe, the recently debuted second collection by AIMEE LACALLE, will be featured in several designer spaces throughout the Show House Santa Fe 2017. Twice a year, LaCalle and her design team launch a location-inspired collection curated from travels around the world. The company’s creative team searches the globe for cultural, artistic, and ecological inspiration. The well-received first collection, San Miguel de Allende, drew inspiration from the beauty of the mountain town as well as LaCalle’s many years spent there with her family. It was only natural that the second collection take inspiration from the design studio’s home base Santa Fe. The region’s striking landscape, culture and architecture influenced the collection’s design motifs — Paseo, Aspen, Pueblo, Zia, Artesano, Chamisa, Eagle, Dragonfly and Antler.

When on location, the AIMEE LACALLE creative team collects photography, sketches, interviews and video footage to bring back to their design studio and translate to contemporary designs. For its Santa Fe collection, AIMEE LACALLE is privileged to include collaborations with renowned local artists Patricia Michaels and Ja Soon Kim. Michaels is a forerunner in the fashion industry for practicing cultural sustainability, drawing inspiration from nature and her Native American culture, which is deeply rooted in New Mexico. Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Ja Soon Kim is a photographer, painter, and award-winning art director who now resides in Santa Fe, and focuses on capturing intricately arranged aspects of nature.
Mastering the technical applications of textile print production, AIMEE LACALLE’s collections feature original engineered designs (prints that are applied uninterrupted, flowing across seams with precision) translated across multiple platforms, including custom-made bedding, curtain panels, tablecloths, fabric, wallpaper and more.
