Guy Kawasaki and the Graduating Class of Milestone Makers to Ring Nasdaq Closing Bell Remotely From San Francisco in Celebration of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center’s Two-Year Anniversary

In celebration of the two-year anniversary of the nonprofit Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco, Guy Kawasaki will join the Center’s fourth graduating class of Milestone Makers to ring the closing bell remotely from the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco (the Center).  In the first two years, the Center’s community of over 7,500 founders has been made up of 49% female and 61% minority entrepreneurs. 

Guy Kawasaki is a renowned entrepreneur, educator, evangelist and author of thirteen books spanning marketing, social media, product launch and innovation. An expert on all things entrepreneurial, Guy returns as a distinguished faculty to the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center today after teaching Art of the Start 2.0 to the Center’s community.

Milestone Makers is a 12-week program awarded to a group of entrepreneurs representing a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, company sizes, stage of development, capital and industry.  Supported by the Center’s extensive network of experience and expertise, each founder is paired with a coach and 3-4 business mentors. Graduating entrepreneurs will also return to the Center to teach future classes of Milestone Makers. 

The fourth graduating class of Milestone Makers includes:

  • Katerina Axelsson: Bottlefly generates personalized food and wine recommendations to shoppers using artificial intelligence and flavor chemistry.
  • Adam Bolden: Sweat Tailor creates the ultimate pair of everyday pants that are stylish, comfortable and built to be worn from day’s start to end, no matter what life throws at you.
  • Michelle Cunningham: Chalet is property management, reimagined.
  • Alexander Durrant: JigTalk is a dating app that unveil its users, piece-by-piece, through exchanging messages.
 
  • Gala Gil Amat: YellowFinch develops IoT sensors and software to predict roof collapse and to model risk.
  • Kimberli Haris: Fairyella Ice Pops is a healthy Vegan ice pop handcrafted with freshly juiced organic fruits and vegetables. 
 
  • Grace Leung Shing: Startwise is a crowdfunding platform where people can invest in revenue sharing deals with business owners.
  • Tyler Moyer: CooMo Travel allows individuals to book and plan their entire trip based on peer recommendations and suggestions.
  • Evin OllingerGolden is the first financial assistant for taking care of your parents. 
 
  • Ehsan Saeedi: Gate enables secure unattended access to homes and business, through its camera-equipped smart lock.
  • Alex Schmotter: Phenoh makes healthier, more effective hydration beverages available to everyone.
