Senior Executives Association Taps ConnellyWorks as Event Partner

Summit, Awards Reception Highlight Excellence in Federal Service

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ConnellyWorks, Inc., an independent agency that offers public relations, marketing and event services, today announced it will provide planning and event delivery support to the Senior Executives Association’s (SEA) Presidential Rank Awards Leadership Summit. The event, to be held December 7, 2017 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., will feature a full-day educational summit along with recognition of the Presidential Rank Award winners, the nation’s highest civil service award.

“ConnellyWorks has a proud history of supporting the government community,” said Joanne Connelly, President and CEO of ConnellyWorks, Inc. “Our relationship with the Senior Executives Association allows us to extend that support to the most senior ranks of government. We are privileged to be a part of any event that honors the extraordinary achievements of executives from across government.”

“Our partnership with ConnellyWorks is part of our larger strategy to bring the voice of career Federal senior executives to the forefront of today’s Washington public policy debates,” said Bill Valdez, President of the Senior Executives Association. “ConnellyWorks has the skillset and relationships we require to be successful in this effort, which ultimately will help make government more efficient and effective, while delivering the critical products and services that Americans expect from the Federal government.”

The Leadership Summit will feature educational tracks that address the three most pressing areas of concern for Federal career senior leaders, including the leadership pipeline, executive readiness and transformational leadership. Additionally, the event will honor the extraordinary public service of senior career professionals in government, to include the 2016 and 2017 awardees of the nation’s highest civilian career leadership awards. Awardees will be recognized in two categories:

  • Distinguished Rank Recipients: Given to only one percent of career Senior Executive Service (SES) members or SES equivalents. Distinguished Rank recipients are recognized for sustained extraordinary accomplishments.

  • Meritorious Rank Recipients: Awarded to five percent of career SES or SES equivalents, Meritorious Rank recipients are recognized for outstanding achievement to enhance the mission of their agency.

The SEA is the latest in a number of nonprofit organizations to reach out to ConnellyWorks for event support. Other clients include The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Washington, DC and Bethesda chapters as well as The Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC).
