BNP Paribas Hires John Gallo as Head of Global Markets Institutional Sales for the Americas


NEW YORK, Nov. 02, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of John Gallo as Head of Global Markets Institutional Sales for the Americas, effective today.

In this newly created role, John will help to expand BNP Paribas’ institutional client franchise across Global Markets Americas (GMA). He will drive the GMA commercial and institutional client strategy in close coordination with global and regional heads of the individual business lines as well as Financial Institutions Coverage. To that end, John will lead GMA heads of sales to enhance service across client sectors and leverage product strengths and capabilities across asset classes.

John will report to Bob Hawley, Deputy Head of CIB Americas, Business and Head of GMA, and Talbot Stark, Global Head of Institutional Sales for Global Markets. He will also join the GMA Executive Committee.

John joins BNP Paribas from Deutsche Bank, where he ran the Institutional Client Group. Prior to that, he served as Head of Investor Sales for Global Markets in North America at Citigroup and held senior positions at Lehman Brothers. John is a well-known industry leader in the financial markets, with 20 years of experience building and leading world-class financial institutions and client franchises.
