The Walrus announces The Walrus LIVE, a 15th anniversary celebration happening in Toronto on June 13–15, 2018


TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Walrus will be celebrating its 15th anniversary next year, and a key part of that celebration will be a new, marquee gathering of artists, writers, journalists, scientists, policy makers, business leaders, local heroes, and global citizens. Hosted at the Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, The Walrus LIVE will bring together people, ideas, and stories that define the present and future of Canada.

The Walrus LIVE will feature multiple programmed spaces, dozens of high-calibre speakers, a special edition of The Walrus Talks, hands-on workshops and demos, sessions with writers and editors from The Walrus magazine, The Walrus 15th anniversary party, and more.

Each space will feature diverse array of ideas, installations, and conversations from a wide variety of special guests. Confirmed speakers include the Right Honourable David Johnston, Lisa Charleyboy, Terry O’Reilly, Jennifer Hollett, David Ben, Dawna Friesen, Nana aba Duncan, Robert Jago, Noah Richler, Niigaan Sinclair, Siri Agrell, Geoff Green, Mary Rogan, Harley Rustad, Shelley Youngblut, Jessica Johnson, and many more to come.

Passes to The Walrus LIVE are now on sale at thewalrus.ca/walruslive. Passes include access to all sessions, food and drink, The Walrus Talks, The Walrus 15th anniversary party, and parking. Passes do not include transportation or hotel. Early bird passes are available for $349 until February 13, 2018 and standard passes will be available for $399. A limited number of reduced-price passes are available upon request for students, seniors, and others.
