Eyeris Partners with iPal® Robot to Enable Face-to-Face Interaction

Las Vegas, Jan. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eyeris Partners with iPal® Robot to Enable Face-to-Face Interaction

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 10, 2018) – AvatarMind, creator of the iPal® Robot, a playful, affordable humanoid robot that serves as a social companion, educator and safety monitor for children, as well as the elderly, announced today a partnership with Eyeris, the world leader in vision AI for human behavior.

The two companies announced their intent to build upon iPal Robot’s already strong human interaction capabilities by integrating Eyeris’ Emotion Recognition and Face Analytics capabilities.

Eyeris will provide the iPal Robot with human-like face-to-face interaction, creating a seamless Human-Robot-Interaction (HRI). With its advanced vision AI for emotion recognition from facial micro-expression and more than 30 complementary face-reading analytics, Eyeris bridges the gap between humans and social robot interactions.

"We’re thrilled to partner with AvatarMind. We’re especially excited about their vision for iPal as the first humanoid robot that is built for the masses with a great balance between rich features and affordability. We look forward to empowering iPal’s developer community with Eyeris' Human Visual Behavior Understanding AI to benefit a myriad of applications for years to come,” said Eyeris CEO Modar Alaoui.

According to AvatarMind CEO John Ostrem, the partnership with Eyeris takes iPal Robot to the next level of human interaction, “iPal Robot was designed to take robotics to its natural, next level in human/robot interaction in a way that’s fun, friendly, non-intimidating, impactful and educational. Eyeris’ deep learning-based emotion recognition and face analytics software enables our little friend to read facial micro-expressions and have an immediate direct impact on children, the elderly and adults with special needs and small businesses.”

At the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, AvatarMind will be taking orders for a developer version of iPal at an early adopter price of $1,699. A retail consumer product will be available in May 2018 with pricing expected to be less than $2,000. Distributor pricing is dependent upon the expected volume and the size of the opportunity.

Reporters are urged to see iPal in action at AvatarMind’s CES booth at LVCC South Hall 2, #25617 or book a private demo here.
