AIA expands partnership with LP Building Products

Washington, D.C., Jan. 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and LP® Building Products have agreed to expand their relationship from that of a Collaboration Partner to an Innovation Partner of the AIA. The newly expanded relationship increases support to AIA initiatives and bolsters engagement opportunities for architects to learn about commercial and residential building products. Both organizations seek to work together in partnership to provide AIA members with the most up-to-date information on oriented strand board (OSB) and engineered wood panel products.

“Our first year working with LP Building Products was such a success, increasing engagement with them only made sense,” said Robert Ivy, FAIA, EVP/Chief Executive Officer of the AIA. “This relationship will continue to provide value for members and enrich the built environment.”

“AIA has been a strong part of LP Building Products strategic plan over the past few years,” said Jason Ringblom, Executive Vice President of OSB/EWP at LP Building Products. “The opportunities that AIA provides us at the national and local levels has helped our specified market division increase awareness and specification rate for products such as LP FlameBlock fire rated sheathing.  Collaborating with architects has broaden education for our sales team, strengthened relationships in the industry and helped LP as we continue to develop innovative products for the industry.  We look forward to our continued partnership in 2018.”
