Ranker Expands Leadership Bench with Appointment of New COO and New SVP of Global Sales

The fast-growing digital publisher also bolstered its sales team with two new vice presidents


LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ranker, the world’s leading destination for crowdsourced rankings on just about everything, has appointed two new senior executives to its leadership team, as well as added to its sales team roster. Greg Morrow joins as Chief Operations Officer and Evan Krauss joins as Senior Vice President of Global Sales, while Tanya Davies and Adam Gordon each join as Vice President of Sales. The new leadership will add to Ranker’s seasoned team of entertainment and adtech industry veterans, who have thus far grown Ranker into a leading publisher with more than 40 million unique monthly visitors in the U.S. and 60 million worldwide visitors.

Morrow, Krauss, Davies and Gordon join Ranker during a period of rapid growth for the company. Worldwide monthly visits to more than doubled over the last year (currently averaging over 150 million monthly visits), and the profitable company did $22 million in 2017 revenues, a 68 percent increase from 2016.

Greg Morrow, former SVP Digital at The Enthusiast Network (TEN), joins Ranker as COO. In this capacity, Morrow will lead efforts to grow revenue, audience, partnerships and brand awareness of Ranker. Morrow brings 20 years of Internet media, product innovation and digital operating experience to Ranker. He founded Grind Networks, which was acquired by TEN in October 2010. Prior to that, he led product strategy and marketing for Yahoo! Music.

Evan Krauss is a 20-year veteran in the digital and mobile industries. His experience includes building new products, businesses and monetization organizations for companies including PubMatic, Shazam, Jumptap, Yahoo!, AOL, Excite and Agency.com. He’s been an early proponent of emerging markets, and championed digital, rich media, mobile, video advertising and programmatic from their early days.

At Ranker, Krauss will work on building a direct sales organization and evangelizing Ranker to brands and agencies. “I’m thrilled to join the Ranker team and look forward to working with Clark and the broader team, including Tanya and Adam, to expand the sales operation to work with new brands and companies, and to grow Ranker into a global brand,” said Evan Krauss.

Davies brings with her nearly two decades of sales experience from a variety of digital and mobile companies, among others, and will be based in the Los Angeles area.  Meanwhile, Gordon brings more than 15 years of sales and digital marketing across a number of online publishers and will be based in New York City. Both will work with the Ranker sales teams in their respective markets to continue the company’s impressive growth trajectory.
