NACD Opens Call for Nominations for 2018 NACD Directorship 100

Honorees to Be Recognized at NACD Directorship 100 Gala and in Annual List of Most Influential People in Boardrooms and Corporate Governance


WASHINGTON, Feb. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the authority on boardroom practices representing more than 18,000 corporate board members, today issued its annual call for nominations for the 2018 NACD Directorship 100. This call for nominations also includes the NACD B. Kenneth West Lifetime Achievement Award and the NACD Director of the Year award.

The selection process begins with an open nomination for candidates. Honorees are then finalized by an NACD advisory committee and leadership team.

Now in its 12th year, the NACD Directorship 100 recognizes leading corporate directors and governance professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the boardroom through innovation, courage, and integrity. This year's honorees will be featured in the November/December issue of NACD Directorship magazine and acknowledged at a black-tie gala on Nov. 28, 2018, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

Last year's honorees included these outstanding directors:

  • NACD B. Kenneth West Lifetime Achievement Award winner Jerre L. Stead—director of IHS Markit
  • NACD Directors of the Year Michele J. Hooper, director of PPG Industries and UnitedHealth Group, and Catherine A. Rein, chair emeritus of Corning
