NEXT Biometrics joins Arrow Electronics at Embedded World 2018

OSLO, Norway, Feb. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NEXT Biometrics (Oslo Bors:NEXT) today announced that the company is joining Arrow Electronics this week at Embedded World 2018 to demonstrate the latest in fingerprint sensor technology. NEXT will be part of the Arrow booth at Embedded World where a broad range of boards and development tools will be featured.

NEXT will be sharing details and providing a first look at its fingerprint sensor development kit based on the Qualcomm DragonBoard™ 410c. The NEXT development kit provides developers the opportunity to create complete biometric solutions that deliver reliable and accurate fingerprint template extraction along with ultra-fast matching capabilities.

“We’re pleased to be part of the Arrow booth at Embedded World,” said Radek Matyasek, senior vice president of Sales for NEXT. “Joining forces with Arrow as one of the key players using the powerful Qualcomm DragonBoard highlights the strengths of our fingerprint sensor technology and is an important advantage for NEXT as we work with our customers to develop ever more powerful, secure and successful products.”

The NEXT development board includes modules and readers featuring NEXT’s unique large sensor technology for increased security and accuracy. Initial versions have been created that work with both SPI and USB interfaces. Systems based on the board are ideally suited for access control and IoT applications. The development kit is expected to be available for purchase in March.

Embedded World runs February 27 through March 1 in Nuremberg, Germany. Arrow and NEXT will be located in booth 340 in hall 4A.
