MOUNTAINVIEW LOW-RESIDENCY MFA AT AWP


MANCHESTER, NH, March 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Faculty members from the Mountainview Low-Residency MFA will participate on several panel discussions at the annual AWP Conference & Bookfair held this week in Tampa, Florida.

On Thursday, March 8 at 10:30 am, Wiley Cash, author of The Last Ballad, will participate on a reading panel titled "The Gift of the Grind: Writing Your Way Through," alongside authors Reggie Scott Young, Sarah Jefferis, and Jose Antonio Rodriguez. The panel considers how working class life leads to working class literature.

On Friday morning Wiley will be featured on PBS Books with authors Lauren Groff and Min Jin Lee.

On Saturday, March 10 at 1:30 pm, Marcus Burke, author of the novel Team Seven, will participate on a panel discussion titled "An Exemplary Omni-American: A Tribute to James Alan McPherson." Joining Marcus will be authors ZZ Packer, DeWitt Henry, and Eileen Pollack.

The AWP Conference & Bookfair is an essential annual destination for writers, teachers, students, editors, and publishers. The conference features over 2,000 presenters and 550 readings, panels, and craft lectures. The bookfair hosted over 800 presses, journals, and literary organizations from around the world. AWP is now the largest literary conference in North America.
