SMASHmouse Joins PITCH Startup Competition at Collision 2018 in New Orleans

SMASHmouse Kickstarter campaign continues through May 20

Atlanta, April 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SMASHmouse will be part of the PITCH startup competition at Collision 2018, held in New Orleans April 30-May 3. Collision is “America’s fastest growing tech conference,” hosting more than 25,000 attendees from 119 countries.

SMASHmouse will join the world’s leading early-stage startups in PITCH: a live on-stage battle held May 1-3 at Collision for a chance to present in front of thousands of attendees on Center Stage and be crowned winner of PITCH at Collision 2018. Attendees include CEOs of both the world’s fastest growing startups and the world’s largest companies, alongside leading investors and media.

PITCH will include startups exhibiting at Collision that have received under $3 million in funding to date and have not had a discernible change in business model in the previous three years.

SMASHmouse— the first-ever foot-controlled universal pedal—is currently holding a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help begin its initial manufacturing in the third quarter of 2018. SMASHmouse is designed to revolutionize the way users control mouse, play-back and many other functions on digital devices. It’s been hailed by both seasoned musicians and amateurs—as well as gamers—for its usability and versatility.

The campaign is located at SMASHmouse Kickstarter where supporters from around the world can make pledges and donations to help reach the goal of $43,200. Backers receive significant savings with unit costs starting at only $80 for early backers and all remaining units at $100, compared with an $149.99 MSRP.

Earlier this month, SMASHmouse won “Best Startup Idea” in the inaugural Media & Tech Startup Battle held by the Startup Development Institute in Atlanta on April 12. Judges included music mogul Jermaine Dupri and Coca-Cola executive Anthony Newstead.

“SMASHmouse is designed to improve how we interact with our devices, and what we can be doing while interacting” said Robb Dillon, Founder/CEO, SMASHmouse.

SMASHmouse easily connects to tech environments and allows you to focus on a task using one or two hands and still control your devices. In addition to its music and gaming functionality, SMASHmouse also works as assistive technology providing a more effective way for those with special needs to control digital devices.
