LIMEADE GLOBAL EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS READY FOR GDPR

Limeade builds on its Privacy Shield Certification to protect data of global customers

Bellevue, Wash., May 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today employee engagement company Limeade announced its readiness for the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Limeade builds great places to work by improving well-being and strengthening workplace culture. Limeade uses data to personalize the employee experience while adhering to stringent global privacy and data security standards. A new position paper on the Limeade approach to global privacy and security is available today.

“It all comes down to trust,” said Limeade CEO Henry Albrecht who started Limeade to improve well-being in the world. “We’re transparent with our privacy policy and terms of service so our users know exactly how we collect, share and use data. Our efforts to build relevant global employee programs will never undermine our commitment to privacy.”

The GDPR outlines several principles for data protection such as the right to be informed, the right to access and the right to be forgotten, among others. Limeade already complies with seven of these due to the Privacy Shield certification and continues to enhance data privacy and security practices.  Additionally, Limeade partners with customers to comply with GDPR and other applicable laws and regulations within the Limeade platform.

“Limeade values its global customers. We have an ongoing commitment to build trust with companies and their workforces by keeping their information protected and confidential,” said Limeade Data Protection Officer and VP of Legal Faye Ricci. “We recognize the need for our policies to align with international best practices and global data protection laws.”

Currently, Limeade Global, a comprehensive well-being and engagement program, is available in over 70 countries. The global program is pre-translated into 10 languages and features dozens of science-backed, culturally-relevant activities — from drinking enough water, to preparing for retirement, to having lunch with a coworker.

“We rely on data to bring the Limeade experience to life around the world,” added Albrecht. “We combine a culturally unifying experience with one that also feels very personal and locally relevant. And we take things to the next level with an immersive experience that improves whole-person well-being, connects people together and leverages other company programs.”
