Royal Canadian Circus Launches 2018 season with a "Tribute to Canada's Cabbies"

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Taxi service is a vital part of Canada's cultural mosaic. Unlike ride services such as Uber, Canada's full time taxi drivers are primarily new Canadians, harbouring from some 90 countries, as is the case with  Toronto's  Beck Taxi. Most drivers are over qualified for the work, but have made the pilgrimage to Canada to provide a better life for their families, educate their children and make a meaningful contribution to their local communities.

In recognition of this, the Royal Canadian Family Circus, in itself a mosaic of nationalities is pleased to announce a Canada-wide initiative for 2018. In each of their 11 locations this year, spanning from Vancouver, British Columbia to Toronto, Ontario the opening night show is presented by invitation and free of charge to up to 2000 cab drivers and their families.

The circus opener in Tsawwassen, BC was a resounding success with Yellow Cab and Green Taxi's drivers and their families enjoying the thrills and talent of this year's all new show. Said Shobby Vinayak, of Surrey Metro Taxi, "I can't say in words just how much this gesture means to us and our drivers. The circus’s generosity has helped bring our community of cabbies and their families together for an event of this calibre. We wish the Royal Canadian Circus continued success for the remainder of their tour across our adopted homeland, Canada!"

Says Domenic Joseph Bauer, ringmaster and daredevil performer in the Royal Canadian family Circus Spectac! ™ 2018, "In our own way the circus is a reflection of Canada's cultural mosaic, with performers from mainland China, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Argentina, Columbia, México, Brazil, America, and more. For my part I am of Swiss descent, and am proud to lead this team of talented artists in our tribute to Canada's multi-ethnic make-up. Come see what our circus families have in store for your families, at the all new edition of the Royal Canadian Circus!"

The circus continues this weekend in Richmond, BC, then eastward across Canada.  To purchase tickets, or for information about the Royal Canadian family Circus Spectac!™, please visit their website at www.royalcanadiancircus.ca
