The 75th Anniversary of D-Day. On June 6, 2019, it will be honoured.

BURLINGTON, Ontario, June 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- World leaders will descend on the spot where on June 6th, 1944, 14,000 young Canadian volunteers successfully secured a foothold for our freedom. They shouldered a great responsibility and they were willing to die for us.

We are documenting the memories of a few veterans who still survive and we would like to present their stories to the world.

June 6, 2019 will be the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, and we would like to share their stories of bravery and sacrifice. When you listen to their stories and hear them recount their efforts, you are struck by the words they use that pay no tribute to the effort and heroism they displayed.

We are looking for fellow Canadians and Corporations that will allow us, for possibly the last time, to bring these veterans back to the place where they fought for our freedom. Please help us bring our veterans to where the Canadian volunteers performed a heroic feat that bested our enemy and drove deeper into France than any of our allies that day. We have started a GoFundMe page to allow and encourage Canadians and others to put their shoulder to the wheel and help to complete their journey:

The Juno Beach Centre, in Normandy France, is two things: It is the only Canadian museum outside our country which documents the contribution of Canada to the Second World War. It is also the only museum to exist on the very beach, Juno, where history was made by the effort of young Canadians acting for the greater good of mankind.

Help us keep their memories alive through educational programs and help them walk for one more time in the footsteps of giants and in the fading shadows of their friends that gave it all for you and me.
