EasyPark Scores Fourth Industry Marketing Award

VANCOUVER, B.C., June 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Asking the question, “What if parking was more like a retail offering?” has landed EasyPark its fourth straight industry award for marketing. The International Parking Institute (IPI) presented the agency with its Marketing and Communications Award for Showcasing Brand Awareness this month at its annual conference in Orlando, Florida.

“At the start of 2017, we asked ourselves what parking would look like if it were a storefront,” says Nigel Bullers, CEO of EasyPark, which beat out eleven other agencies for the award. “Living up to our mission to ‘make parking easy’ means enhancing the customers’ experiences and being a valued member of our communities.”

Brainstorming on the “retail” theme, the EasyPark team looked at best practices at companies as diverse as Yellow Tail wines and Pottery Barn, going beyond satisfying basic consumer expectations and injecting elements attractive to the public.

EasyPark continued building on its popular App, to expand options for payment and customer feedback; expanded its community involvement; and converted lighting at its lots to safer, more environmentally-sensitive LED systems.

It works for retail stores: could it work for parking lots?

The answer is “yes!” The reinvented approach produced a 20 percent increase in revenues – as well as the fourth straight IPI award.

The final key in EasyPark’s award-winning marketing is Brand Awareness. Those black-orange- and-white vehicles – with the NASCAR-inspired design -- are a familiar sight around Metro Vancouver, reminding motorists that the need for a motor vehicle is still a reality around the region, and that EasyPark is there, to make parking easy.

About IPI - Founded in 1962, IPI is dedicated to advancing the parking profession, given the integral role parking plays in maintaining the social, economic and environmental quality of life in a region.
