The portable spiderbox is designed for effective voltage conversion, from 415V to 120V single phase.
The HL-MDC-10C-415V-8AB-2KVA-120V.16A is a robust solution for extending power connections inside Class I, Division 2 flammable environments. This mobile power distribution station comes with 10 feet of #16 SOOW cord with a 63-amp 480V rated Class I, Division 2 explosion proof cord cap, which is used to bring single-phase 415V into the primary side of the NEMA 4X explosion proof transformer. The 2 KVA Class I, Division 2 and Class I, Zone 2 transformer converts 415V to 120V single phase. On the mobile cart, operators may connect compatible 120V equipment to a 600V-rated explosion proof pin/sleeve outlet on the secondary side. The Class I, Division 2 receptacle is protected by a 16-amp din-rail mounted breaker.
The portable spiderbox is securely mounted on a steel dolly cart, which is finished in a powder coating for durability. During use, stability is provided via a deployable kickstand located at the back of the cart. A top located handle on the cart enables safe tilting and transportation of the mobile power distribution center. Cautionary labels throughout the unit advises operators of potential high voltage when using the explosion proof station.
Made in the USA, the HL-MDC-10C-415V-8AB-2KVA-120V.16A is protected by a NEMA 4X enclosure. This level of protection offers exceptional durability against corrosion, including salt spray. NEMA 4X enclosures are constructed of 5052-H32 aluminum, 304/304L stainless steel or 316/316L stainless steel. The enclosure is also weatherproof and provides protection from rain, moisture, dirt and external ice formation.
