SUN VALLEY, Calif., June 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OnTrac, a logistics company in the Western United States, has opened the doors to their newest Southern California facility at yesterday’s grand opening event. Approximately 65 guests attended the event from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 at the OnTrac Sun Valley facility, 11051 Pendleton Street, Sun Valley, California 91352.
As guest arrived, they were welcomed with a fiesta-themed lunch of Mexican food, and invited to watch presentations by OnTrac leadership, the Chamber of Commerce and City officials. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony and joyous blue and yellow confetti celebration, guests were invited on a tour of the 250,000 square feet building. Concluding the event, guests were given parting gifts of OnTrac water bottles and “homerun” themed stress squeezers to represent the Arizona Diamondbacks partnership of the OnTrac Bullpen Cart.
Kicking off the program, OnTrac Director of Sales Mikel Mobley explained what the new facility means for OnTrac customers. Mobley said, “Having a new, beautiful and clean facility here in Sun Valley, will allow us to zero in on our main objectives and allow for your packages to be distributed through a quicker and more efficient process. At the end of the day, we want to ensure that each package arrives at their final destination with fewer touches and this facility is helping us to accomplish that goal.”
Bob Wilson, OnTrac director of operations for Southern California, spoke to the expansion in facility dock doors which is a total of 32, compared to the total of five at the previous location. He also pointed out that OnTrac has grown their employee count by 43 new people with the expansion of the company’s footprint in Sun Valley. OnTrac Director of Engineering Jim Brownlow was able to give guests a full comparison of the new building’s material handling systems capabilities compared to the previous location. A more efficient system allows for packages to travel through the building and get on the road to their destination much quicker.
