TAMPA, Fla., July 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Seven Greystone health and rehabilitation centers located throughout Florida are recipients of National Quality Awards by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) for 2018. Two centers, Apollo Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Petersburg and Woodland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, received the Silver Achievement Quality Award. Among the centers receiving the Bronze Achievement Quality Award are Lehigh Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lehigh Acres; Rockledge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rockledge; The Club Health and Rehabilitation at The Villages in The Villages; Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center in Deland; and Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation in Ft. Lauderdale.

To receive these distinctions, each health center had to undergo an extensive application process. Applications were then judged by trained examiners who provided feedback and noted opportunities for improvement to support ongoing learning. Bronze award applicants were assessed on their mission, vision and ability to describe key elements for performance improvement. Building on the bronze level, silver award applicants were evaluated on their detailed systematic approaches for performance improvement and healthcare outcomes, and the deployment of those approaches.
The goal of the awards is to provide applicants with the tools and resources they need for continuous performance improvement. Members must first achieve the Level I Bronze Award before they are eligible for Level II Silver. Silver awardees are eligible to apply for the Level III Gold Award the following year.
