The Company informs that on 17 July 2018 the Supervisory Board of the Company passed a decision to approve the investment plan of ESO for the following 10 years (hereinafter – 10YIP) (attached).
10YIP provides that ESO investments will be allocated to increase reliability, safety of the network and smart grid solutions over the next 10 years (2018-2027).
In 2018–2027 ESO investments will be targeted at three programs:
1. Reliable and climate impact-resilient grid,
2. Remotely controlled grid,
3. Smart grid.
It is planned to allocate 2.1 billion euro of total investments in these three directions and the connection of new customers to the distribution networks during 2018-2027. These investments will make it possible to significantly improve the reliability of networks during storms, and will precondition obtaining accurate real-time information as well as improve networks security.
The objectives of the ESO 10-year investment plan coincide with the goals set in the National Energy Independence Strategy, and they are aligned with the strategy LE2030 of Lietuvos Energija Group.
It should be noted that the 10YIP of ESO cannot be considered as a commitment to invest. All investment projects envisaged by the 10YIP will be individually coordinated with the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices and in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts.
