Global learning technology leader D2L announced American Refining Group Inc. (ARG) will use the D2L learning platform Brightspace to train and develop the skills of its diverse and multigenerational staff.
ARG, the owner of the Bradford, Pa., refinery established in 1881, is one of the community’s largest employers. In a highly regulated industry in which safety and compliance trainingis crucial, ARG needed to modernize its training model and help its employees take advantage of learning that goes beyond minimum requirements.
Together with D2L, ARG is digitizing and centralizing training as it switches over to a blended learning environment— mixing computer-based modules with classroom engagement. At the same time, the company is expanding its learning offerings to support the continuous improvement of more than 350 multigenerational staff members faced with a changing and increasingly competitive marketplace.
