FUSION 2018, Houston, TX, July 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- National Park College, the fourth largest community college inArkansas, has selected D2L’s Brightspace after an extensive search for a new learning management system (LMS) to serve its population of approximately 3400 credit students annually.
Brightspace was selected for several reasons:
- Ease of Use:When faculty and students tested Brightspace, they found it easier to use, cleaner and more intuitive than other systems.
- Features:Brightspace offers more features than the competitors without the need to add features at an additional price.
- Importing Data: Brightspace allows the college to do a clean import of courses with little data cleanup.
“Initially, we didn’t want to make a change but the longer we used Brightspace the more we liked it,” said Dr. Donna Kay, Director of Instructional Learning and Development. “We want to provide the best possible learning experience for our students, so ease of use, flexibility and the powerful suite of tools that Brightspace makes available for our learners is absolutely key. They won us over, completely.”
Over the next year, National Park College will train faculty on the new system. Faculty will use the time to fully immerse themselves in the student experience — which is a novel approach to implementing a new LMS devised by college leadership.
