Neology appoints Luke Normington as Managing Director of ANPR/ALPR Division

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Neology, Inc., a leading provider of Automatic Number/License Plate Recognition (ANPR/ALPR) solutions for law enforcement, open road tolling and other traffic monitoring activities, announced today the appointment of Luke Normington as Managing Director of Neology’s ANPR/ALPR division. Mr. Normington will officially join the company in October 2018 and will report directly to Neology CEO, Francisco Martinez de Velasco.

Most recently Head of Enforcement Solutions for Siemens, Mr. Normington brings 15 years of business development and sales leadership to Neology, with significant familiarity with Neology’s products. Mr. Normington will be responsible for ANPR/ALPR Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations, guiding Neology’s growth in ANPR/ALPR global markets.

“Luke is a professional with extensive experience building partnerships and relationships with channel partners and government agencies,” says Mr. Martinez de Velasco. “His professional network with Directors of Traffic Safety and Departments of Public Safety will be a key factor to influence the industry and expand our market share.”

He began his career as a traffic design engineer for Siemens Traffic Controls before quickly moving into the ALPR/ANPR domain including significant projects such as the London Congestion Charging and Low Emission Zone projects and has led both engineering and sales teams. Mr. Normington holds a Master of Engineering in Electronic & Computer Systems Engineering from Loughborough University.

“I have personally worked alongside the Neology PIPS team on significant projects over the years such as London, where even now almost 12 years since they were originally installed, the solution is still supporting Transport for London to achieve their Road User Charging and Low Emission objectives on their traffic network,” says Mr. Normington. “I'm excited to be joining the Neology team to directly work with the PIPS Technology brand that is synonymous with the ANPR/ALPR industry, working with new and existing clients to contribute to a safer, cleaner and smarter future.”

Mr. Normington joining the team, along with several new solutions being released soon, will prime Neology to reposition as the marketplace leader.
