GHT Announces Automated Equipment Wash Addition to Midland Facility

HOUSTON, TX , Aug. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Heat Transfer (“GHT” or the “Company”) has recently opened a new 18,000 square foot facility in Midland-Odessa, Texas that will feature a touchless equipment wash system capable of effectively washing frac pumps, tractor-trailers, oilfield equipment and other irregular shaped vehicles.

“Finding and retaining labor in West Texas is getting harder by the day. Many companies are struggling to find employees. GHT’s automated touchless equipment wash will clean a frac pump in under thirty minutes freeing up manpower to do other tasks,” noted GHT's President, Randy Vanberg.

The largest and fastest equipment wash in all of the Odessa area, GHT's industrial wash system will handle high volume, producing a brilliant wash result every time. High pressure robotic arches reach into the center of the wash bay, with front and rear overlapping movement. Multiple detergent bays with pivoting nozzles wash down the sides of the vehicle. The touchless system drive-through is one of the very few touchless systems in the world capable of self-adjusting to different widths and irregularities of heavy vehicles and equipment.

“Innovation drives GHT. We wanted to find a solution that would reduce the amount of labor our customers spend cleaning their frac pumps. Our goal was to offer a quality wash in a short amount of time, using as little labor as possible, at a lower cost. I am excited that our automated equipment wash achieves all of these goals,” said GHT’s Senior Vice President, Derek Hjorth.

Not only can the Midland facility handle an entire frac truck, but this facility is now the largest radiator repair shop in West Texas.
