Medecision Appoints New Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

Dan Speicher to join leading population health and care management solutions company to drive technology strategy, lead cloud-based digital transformation

DALLAS, Aug. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Medecision, the leader in population health and care management solutions, announced today it has appointed Dan Speicher as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Speicher will drive the company’s technology vision and lead the strategy, development and deployment of innovative healthcare solutions that deliver value to Medecision clients nationwide.

A technology veteran, Speicher joins the company with more than 20 years’ experience, including extensive Software-as-Service (SaaS) industry expertise. Most recently, he was CTO at Omnitracs, a SaaS company that provides fleet-management solutions to the transportation industry. Previously, Speicher led world-class telematics solutions for Fortune 500 customers at Hughes Telematics. He also spent two decades at InfoGroup, where he oversaw mergers and acquisitions, along with the development of a shared services infrastructure.

“The stakes are high, the investment cycle is changing, and IT leaders now have to support a wider range of clinical and business partner needs,” said Deborah Gage, Medecision President and CEO. “Dan’s the right leader to help our clients solve today’s business problems and tomorrow’s opportunities while building upon the momentum we’ve created in our cloud-based digital transformation.”

“True transformation requires different investment and expectations for tech partners,” Gage added. “Our client CTOs and CIOs understand and embrace these market realities.”

“Technology is at the cornerstone of healthcare and I’m excited to join my new colleagues – we call them Liberators – who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives,” said Speicher.

This year, Medecision’s Aerial™ application and supporting infrastructure earned Certified status for information security by HITRUST. By meeting these rigorous standards and protocol, the company has demonstrated its commitment to data security and privacy.

Speicher succeeds Bill Adiletta, who most recently served as CTO for Medecision.

Prior to launching his career in technology, Speicher served in the United States Air Force and was an instructor and curriculum developer for airborne intelligence collection courses. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb.

Speicher will work from the company’s Dallas office reporting directly to Deborah Gage. He is a member of the Atlanta Trend Leadership Organization, Technology Association of Georgia, AMVets/Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 25 and American Legion Post 0001 in Omaha, Neb.
