Fort Collins, CO, Sept. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Grammy Award-winning musician Lyle Lovett was presented with a special-edition Vortic watch at his induction into the Red Rocks Hall of Fame last night. Vortic Watch Company, a Fort Collins-based company that meticulously restores antique pocket watches and turns them into custom-made wristwatches, has partnered with the Red Rocks Hall of Fame to create limited-edition wristwatches on behalf of inductees for the 2018 season. Earlier, Vortic created custom-made watches for 2017 Hall of Fame inductees Jackson Browne and Jimmy Buffett.

“We are honored to serve as the official partner to the City of Denver and Red Rocks for the Hall of Fame inductions,” R.T. Custer, co-founder of Vortic Watch Company, said. “Red Rocks is known around the world as a premier venue for musicians. The opportunity to present these distinguished musicians with a watch that is quintessentially Colorado and Red Rocks is a dream come true for music lovers like us.”

The timepieces for the Red Rocks Limited Edition series are 100 years old and fully restored by Vortic’s master craftsmen. The watches include a Red Rocks image on the dial, a 3D-printed titanium case and leather bands to create a classic wristwatch that stands the test of time. The watch for Mr. Lovett includes additional engraving on the back commemorating the Hall of Fame induction.

“We are delighted to once again partner with Vortic Watches for the Red Rocks Hall of Fame,” said Brian Kitts, director of marketing and communications for Arts and Venues, City of Denver. “The 2018 Hall of Fame inductees represent the pinnacle of achievement in music, and it’s fitting that they be presented with Vortic’s Hall of Fame edition watches.”

Vortic will present the limited-edition watches to 2018 Red Rocks Hall of Fame inductees as they are named throughout the year. Red Rocks enthusiasts have the opportunity to purchase one of the company’s 20 Red Rocks Limited Edition watches for the 2018 season, which are available for purchase on the company’s website at VorticWatches.com.
