Kingspan’s QuadCore Technology Now Standard for All the Company’s Designwall 4000 Panels

BENCHMARK Designwall 4000 panels get an upgrade to Kingspan’s next generation self-blended hybrid insulation core

DELAND, Fla., Sept. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kingspan is introducing its most technologically-advanced metal panel insulation to its BENCHMARK Designwall 4000 architectural wall panels.

First introduced to the North American market in June, QuadCore™ Technology delivers the ultimate in thermal performance, fire protection and health & wellness – backed by an industry-first 30-year thermal warranty.

Kingspan’s top-of-the-line QuadCore insulation is now standard on all of it's BENCHMARK Designwall 4000 insulated metal panels.

“The building industry is demanding more from suppliers in terms of performance, certifications and safety, so we’re making it easier for architects and specifiers to meet those benchmarks by including QuadCore in all our Designwall 4000 panels,” said Karim Muri, Director of Marketing for Kingspan Insulated Panels North America.

QuadCore’s unmatched third-party certifications include GREENGUARD Gold and a Silver Level Material Health Certificate, earned through the rigorous Cradle to Cradle assessment. In addition, QuadCore is Red List Free, so it can contribute to credits in health and wellness certifications, such as WELL, the Living Building Challenge, LEED v4 and BREEAM.

When the QuadCore-equipped Designwall 4000 panels are ordered with Valspar’s Fluropon Pure coatings, the entire panel earns a Red List Free declaration; Kingspan has the only insulated metal panels in the world that earn that distinction.

QuadCore also surpasses all other closed-cell insulated panel systems when it comes to fire performance and fire resistance; panels featuring QuadCore were the first to be certified to FM 4882 standards for use in smoke-sensitive occupancies.  This technology outperforms the competition with reduced flame spread (ASTM E84), higher flash ignition temperature (ASTM D1929) and 20 percent less heat released (ASTM 1354).

Previously, Designwall 4000 panels were equipped with a PIR core. QuadCore performs at R-8.0 per inch, around 11 percent better than standard PIR insulation, and it’s around twice as efficient when compared to mineral fiber when used as the core material in insulated metal panel systems. It is certified as the most thermally-efficient, closed-cell insulation material in the insulated metal panel market. That thermal performance allows a thinner panel to be used and still achieves a high R-value.

Designwall 4000 is the go-to panel choice for large scale projects. The foamed-in-place architectural wall panel has reveal options range from 116” tight to 6” allowing for the creation of shadows and accents. Available in either embossed, non-embossed or Shadowline, Designwall 4000 is uniquely equipped for the finest design ingenuity.

QuadCore is also offered in Kingspan’s KS Shadowline, KS Micro-Rib and Optimo panels.
