Kore Alliance Announces Kore Venture Program to Prepare Next Generation of Ultra-High Net Worth Inheritors

BOSTON, Oct. 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kore Alliance™, a nonprofit member organization of ultra-high net worth family offices from around the world, announced today the opening of enrollment for its flagship program Kore Venture. Kore Venture is designed specifically to help the rising generation of ultra-high net worth families grow in wisdom and character attributes required for success as inheritors of family wealth, and as leaders in business and society.

“Trillions in family wealth globally is set to pass on to a new generation of inheritors. Surprisingly, only a few will be properly prepared for the responsibility of overseeing and protecting this generational wealth transfer.” That’s a stark warning from Jim Dilworth, Managing Director and co-founder of Kore Alliance, commenting on the launch of the flagship Kore Venture program. “As a result, much of the wealth will likely be lost and many families tragically will be torn apart.”

“While many inheritors attend the best schools and colleges, few are prepared for the complexities of stewarding family wealth,” added Daryl Heald, Managing Director and co-founder of Kore Alliance, speaking from experience as part of the 3rd generation of Maclellan family based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. “We’ve seen in our own family and with countless peers that the key to preparing young inheritors is not solely financial competence, but growth in character and wisdom. When family wealth is passed on without the values and wisdom to properly steward it, it can be deeply destructive for everyone involved.”

“We’ve launched Kore Venture to address this critical stewardship need,” said Andrew Doust, Kore Venture co-founder based in Dubai. “Kore Venture is a learning experience that takes participants beyond the basics of financial literacy and family governance and addresses the realities of living with wealth and influence. Realities which too frequently derail young people, fracture families and can ultimately destroy wealth.”

Kore Venture is an immersive peer learning journey for 21-29 year-olds delivered over three residential periods located in California, Oxford (UK) and France.  It features faculty from leading institutions including Stanford and Oxford University, family wealth and relationship experts and peers. “Kore Venture provides a safe environment for real conversations and honest reflection,” continued Mr. Doust, “something which I believe very few young inheritors have a true opportunity to experience.”

Dave Evans, co-founder of the Stanford Life Design Lab, co-author of Designing Your Life, and program presenter added, “I’m delighted to be part of the Kore Venture team helping young people from families with abundance from around the world to find purpose and meaning, and most importantly to become wise stewards of their resources, opportunity, and potential to influence.”

Kore Venture is the flagship program of Kore Alliance™, a nonprofit member organization of ultra-wealthy families from around the world that come together as families to share knowledge, opportunities, relationships and experiences. Kore Venture does not permit solicitation or receive sponsorship revenue. Program proceeds are re-invested into Kore Alliance™ programs.

There is no marketing to participants at any point during or following the program.

Kore Venture applications are now open for the first intake program which commences in January 2019. Applications can be made online at www.koreventure.org, or by calling, +1 617 466 6428.

About Kore Alliance
From New York to Cairo, London to Sydney, Budapest to Hong Kong — our reach is broad, and every day, it’s growing. No two Kore families are alike. But we’re all here for the same reasons: seeking connections with like-minded peers, and together, searching for answers to the questions we share. Our three founding members – Daryl Heald, James Dilworth, and David Beatty have spent their personal and professional lives creating deep, lasting relationships with many other families around the world. Throughout their travels, they found that the people they serve long to make meaningful connections with their peers: people who share their financial position, and whose lives are guided by the same values and principles. If you’re on a similar journey, searching for something more, we invite you to become a part of our story at www.korealliance.org.
