Media Invitation/Trading Football Uniform for Aprons: Alouettes Players to Share a Traditional Thanksgiving Meal With the Homeless Men of Welcome Hall Mission


MONTREAL, Oct. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- No matter what the season has in store for them, Alouettes players always find the time to stop by Welcome Hall Mission every Thanksgiving to spend the evening with men whose life has taken a turn for the unexpected. Again this year, mostly new faces, but sometimes older ones, will enjoy a special meal, finding comfort for a few hours with their temporary family. For many of these men, sharing a meal at Welcome Hall Mission will be the beginning of a new life as they start their transition back into the community. Only last year, over 229,000 meals were prepared in the Mission’s kitchens, often by men who were once living in the street themselves.
