Consolidated Communications Responds to Customers Affected By Hurricane Michael


PORT ST. JOE, Fla., Oct. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CNSL), a leading broadband and business communications provider, reminds customers impacted by Hurricane Michael that 24-hour repair service is available to further help support them.  The Company has activated its Emergency Operations Center and is also supporting first responders as a top priority.

The Company estimates the storm initially impacted approximately 3,500 of its 21,000 customers located in Florida.  Based on its ongoing restoral efforts, the Company estimates approximately 2,000 customers are currently out of service.  Customers impacted by the storm represent less than one half percent of the Company’s overall customer base.

The Company’s storm preparations included: activating its Emergency Operations Center and initiating emergency preparation planning; offering 24-hour repair service; equipping fleet vehicles with extra fuel, fluids and lighting; double-checking all safety equipment, ensuring all back-up power supplies and generators are fully operational; taking inventory of supplies needed for plant and network restoration and supplementing where necessary; and placing emergency network supplies throughout company facilities.
