NOVIATEK IS THE 2018
HKEIA OVERALL PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
AND Gold Award Winner
On 15th October 2018, The Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association announced NOVIATEK won the prestigious PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD and the GOLD AWARD in the annual HKEIA(HONG KONG ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION) Award..
The award, for outstanding innovation and technology, was given for the Noviatek's NoviaCare Artificial Intelligence Seniors health box by Pharmagest, in the category of safety and security and the overall Product of the year Award.
The HKEIA award was held during the 2018 Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), the world's second largest electronics show: it recognizes and rewards excellence in product design, technology, reliability and innovation and is fully endorsed by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation.
At a gala dinner during the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, the jury selected the innovative consumer product for great value to the lives of elderly people living home alone and overall effectiveness for the health system.
The Noviacare box helps seniors stay safe in their home by detecting and recognizing, through advanced sensors and AI, negative changes in their living patterns and sending alarms to their families or caregivers when needed. The box works autonomously and is able to interact through voice and sounds with the persons at home and helps them feel that they are secure, that their privacy is respected and that, when help is required, their families or caregivers are immediately notified.
The device is not intrusive, does not require an internet connection and is easy to install in the home (wireless, Plug&Play).
